Hi, I’m Dave and I am here to help you reach your fitness goals. I’ve been training myself and others for nearly 50 years. During that time I have achieved significant milestones, worked through major setbacks, and helped many other people reach their fitness goals.
My journey started with wrestling and working on farms as I grew up in Oklahoma. That foundation – of athletics and hard work – allowed me to become a Navy SEAL at the age of 18. I spent the next 12 years immersed in a culture of training,
My Navy career ended with significant damage to one shoulder and damage to my lumbar spine which required surgery to stabilize. So I left the Navy, went to college, took a desk job and became sedentary. Over the next 10 years I lost a lot of strength, added way too much fat and, because of spine damage, was in constant pain. At my lowest point I couldn’t walk without the support of a cane.
That low point forced me to realize that my quality of life was deteriorating because of strength loss. I had to find a way to regain my strength.
I’ve spent the last 25 years learning how to train despite injuries, and learning how to make fitness progress without doing harm. I’ve made a deep study of anatomy, of movement, of the powerful results of practicing good technique. These principles have allowed me to develop strong, healthy, capable bodies, both for myself and for others.
Throughout this journey I have helped thousands of people improve their fitness – and have guided many of those out of chronic pain.
No matter where you are in your fitness journey, whether you have never worked out, or have already accomplished a lot, if you are ready to strive for – and reach – new fitness goals, get in touch, lets get started.
